Why I prioritise my health over studies as a medical student
Why I Prioritise My Health Over Studies As A Medical Student?
As a medical student, I am constantly reminded of the importance of prioritising my health and wellbeing over my studies. This is because, as a future medical practitioner, my health and fitness levels will directly impact my ability to provide quality care to patients.
There are numerous reasons why I believe it is important to prioritise my health as a medical student. Firstly, being physically fit and healthy makes me more stable and resistant to stress. This is crucial, as the medical field is notorious for being a highly stressful environment. If I am not physically fit, the chances of me becoming overwhelmed by stress and making mistakes increases dramatically.
Another reason why I believe it is important to focus on my health as a medical student is because diet is one of the most important aspects of fitness. What we eat directly impacts our energy levels, mood and overall wellbeing. As medical students, we are constantly bombarded with information about the importance of maintaining a healthy diet. If we are not following a healthy diet ourselves, we are not setting a good example for our future patients.
Lastly, I believe it is important to prioritise my health as a medical student because it is something I will need to do for the rest of my life. The medical field is an ever-changing and demanding environment, and if I want to be able to survive and thrive in it, I need to make sure my health is always a priority.
So, for these reasons, I believe it is important to prioritise my health over my studies as a medical student. It is not always easy to do, but it is something that is essential for my future success as a medical practitioner.
